Alaska's Wildlife and Habitat. The elusive volume 1 on big game animals. Published by the Alaska Department of Fish & Game back in the 70's when the state was spending a lot of money on things like this. This is the book that EVERYONE wants. It's the book that Alaska big game guides use. Hundreds of maps that show where the big game and other animals can be found. Anyone interested in Alaska big game hunting will want this book. Dall sheep, moose, brown bear, caribou, it's all here.

It's a massive 17 1/2 inches wide by over 13 inches tall. It weighs a whopping 12.5 pounds. Blue polypropylene covers. There is a split and possible melting to the polypropylene cover at the top of the spine at the hinge (see pictures), otherwise good condition, scratches to the covers as usual, and the title page is a little darkened (the title page is always darker and sometimes soiled or stained as it doesn't have the protection of a page above it). The second photo shows the top of the spine.

I've seen totally trashed and water damaged copies sell on eBay for hundreds of dollars.
