This position is responsible for coordinating the activities of produce sales to insure satisfactory sales and profits for the company. Addressing the needs and insuring the satisfaction of our customers. This includes assigned customers, as well as, the accounts of other company salespersons.

1.Maintain a sound working knowledge of all markets and growing conditions.
2.Make presentations of profitable programs to potential and existing customers.
3.Notify and assist buyers, operations and sales support persons by communication of customer's needs and preferences.
4.Maintain effective, professional relationships with restaurant owners, retailers, vendors, and fellow employees.
5.Organize and provide assistance for special sales and promotions.
6.Assist in departmental resets and grand openings when called upon.
7.Participate in special projects deemed necessary to the operation and well being of the company.
8.Attend all sales meetings and appointments, (be on time, punctual).
9.Responsible for individual accounts sales and gross profit.
10.Make sure all orders are submitted before scheduled cut off times.
11.Responsible for processing and turning in credit memos, responsibility forms and other job related paperwork within the set time lines.
12.Walk warehouse-checking product at least twice a day.


1.Must have thorough knowledge and expertise of produce commodities and be capable of providing expert consulting to current and potential customers.
2.Must have demonstrated excellent interpersonal human relations and teaming skills.
3.Must be quick and accurate with paperwork, figures, attentive to detail, and have good follow-through.
4.Must have excellent phone skills.
5.Must have PC skills.
6.Must be flexible and able to deal with a variety of details simultaneously.
7.Must have proven problem-solving skills.
8.Must be skilled in time management and be capable of meeting work schedule deadlines.
9.Must have demonstrated excellent written, verbal and oral presentation skills.
10.Prefer both retail and wholesale produce experience.
11.Must have an excellent work record with references from current and/or previous employers.
12.Ability to plan, organize, implement, and follow through on projects.
13.Prefer a college degree or minimum high school.
